About Swarm

Swarm is a system of peer-to-peer networked nodes that create a decentralized storage and communication service. The system is economically self-sustaining thanks to a built-in incentive system enforced through smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

Information is the shared experience of humanity. The base layer of all social constructs. The design of such systems to store information in a decentralized way will emerge as a self-sustaining infrastructure that will be the backbone of the next web.

Key Highlights of Swarm

Unstoppable Features

Privacy preservation, communication, and redundancy are built in to ensure availability and continued data delivery even when individual nodes go offline. Any data, any device on demand.

Radical data and ownership

Data is split up into small chunks that are stored throughout the network without vulnerable central hubs. Operators do not know what content is stored on their nodes while still being paid for storing.

Zero-Cost economics

No central party controls the data or can monetize it, all node operators participate in enabling a fair data economy. Rather than relying on intermediaries to ensure the availability and integrity of the data
